Embodied Servitude
Embodied servitude vs an academic understanding of tawheed are different things.
Embodied servitude is conviction in the face of doubt.
It is the fuel for hope, patience, and contentment.
Embodied servitude is about empathy for self and others, high self truth, authenticity, resilience, trust.
It leads to being in a state of flow because tawheed allows for us to cut off the distractions and find meaning and focus. How? By connecting to our purpose.
It is the annihilation of entitlement and seeing through the lens of shukr. Servitude is counting and recounting your blessings and then understanding that you are in fact surrounded on all sides by His bounties.
Servitude is tasleem for His laws and what He chooses for us.
Servitude to one God is freedom from everything that seeks to enslave us in this dunya. It is also dignity.
It is asking the right questions because we understand the contract - the master-slave relationship we’re in: “How can I as a mere speck serve the Designer of this universe with what He gave me?”
